Patrice graduated from California State University, Bakersfield in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an accounting concentration. After working for 10 years as an accountant and financial analyst in the telephone industry, she took a career hiatus to raise her family. She’s been a senior accountant with the firm for 20 years.
In her free time, Patrice loves spending time with all of her adult children and grandkids.
Leanna Weiner

Leanna is a 1997 graduate from California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, concentration in Accounting. Leanna is a Bakersfield transplant, having spent her youth through high school in Thousand Oaks, CA. Her technical expertise is in payroll and human resource matters and all things involving accounting processes. She is QuickBooks Pro certified and has been with the firm for 20 years handling the day-to-day accounting needs of clients over numerous industries.
Leanna is the proud mother of three overachieving children who are all excellent students. Her interests range from dance, gymnastics, and the performing arts to competitive team sports where her husband and oldest son are respected officials, and her middle son is on a scholarship to play collegiate baseball. She is a devout member of her chosen faith and is a cherished member of her women’s bible study group. Her sports teams of choice are the Los Angeles Dodgers (Go Dodgers!) and the Dallas Cowboys whom she visits every year when they play at home on Thanksgiving.
Ryan Baker

Ryan is a 2014 graduate from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, concentration in Accounting. Born and raised in Bakersfield, Ryan graduated from Liberty High School where he was a member of the 2003 CIF Championship baseball team. Ryan manages the accounting for numerous clients and assists them with their weekly, monthly and annual reporting needs. Ryan has worked on compilation engagements and prepares annual tax filings for his many business clients. He is also experienced in individual taxation and is a preparer of numerous individual tax return filings.
Ryan is a volunteer coach in the Kern High School District, having worked with kids from both Centennial and Stockdale High Schools. Prior to pursuing his accounting career, Ryan spent a couple of years in the movie and television industry working for 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, and Disney Studios before deciding to make public accounting his career. An avid fan of professional sports, his teams of choice are the Los Angeles Dodgers (Go Dodgers!) and the Philadelphia Eagles (Fly Eagles!).
Melinda Carroll

Melinda Carroll graduated from Bakersfield College in 1989 with an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She continued her education in Accounting at California State University, Bakersfield. Melinda has worked in public accounting since 2009, and she joined Shinault Baker & Company in 2018.
Melinda is detail-oriented and prides herself on providing high-quality accounting services for clients of various industries. She is QuickBooks Pro certified and enjoys mentoring clients in accounting processes and software and building client relationships. Melinda is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
Melinda is a Bakersfield native who enjoys spending time with her family and friends and spoiling her dog Sasha. She loves reading and has had several short stories and poems published in literary journals.
Carol Tyner

Through fifteen years of experience in accounting and other service industries, Carol has developed skills that significantly contribute to the firm’s efficiency. From the front desk,
she cheerfully greets visitors and responds to clients’ calls. As an administrative assistant, she assists with client’s and staff requests, directs workflow, performs clerical duties and
is depended on to keep the office organized.
On a personal level, Carol is an excellent seamstress and cook. She enjoys spending time with her two adult daughters but her favorite pastime is doting on her four grandchildren.
