Michael Shinault is a career public accountant having worked in the industry consistently since graduating from California State University, Bakersfield in 1977. Michael worked for various CPA firms before deciding to establish his own public accounting practice in 1984. A Bakersfield native, Michael graduated from West High School in 1973 and as aforementioned, obtained his B.A. in accounting at CSUB in 1977. Michael recently earned his Master's Degree in taxation from Golden Gate University. Michael enjoys a variety of different sports. He obtained the rank of black belt in both Kokondo Karate and Jukido Jujitsu from the International Kokondo Association. Michael is a family man. He has been happily married for over twenty years and has four children.

Larry Baker is a career public accountant. He has worked both in public accounting and in the private industry. Prior to forming Shinault, Baker & Co. in 1986, Larry worked as a public accountant with the international public accounting firm Price Waterhouse. After three years with Price Waterhouse Larry worked as an accountant for Kaufman & Broad, Inc. He then went on to work for a Bakersfield based real estate developer. Born and raised in Bakersfield, Larry is a 1973 graduate of Foothill High School and a 1977 graduate of California State University Bakersfield.
